Jewish youth groups play an integral part of becoming a Jewish adult. Many young adults say that they continued to practice Judaism throughout college and into their young adult lives because of their youth group. Jewish youth groups, such as ours, involve Jewish pre-teens and teens in a meaningful relationship with Judaism in an environment that is religious, social and educational. We have a large variety of events from Build-A-Bear workshops, Amazing Glaze days, and Youth Lounge Invasions for the younger crowd to a Mystery Bus Trip, laser tag, baseball games, volunteering around the community and overnights for the older groups.
Youth groups are a great way for students to engage in social and educational activities. Beth El is part of the Seaboard region, made up of Conservative synagogues from Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia and North Carolina. Kadima and USY members are eligible to participate in region-wide programs such as: Encampment (week-long summer camp), dances, International Convention, basketball leagues and weekend conventions.
