New Traffic Signal
After several years of working with the State Highway Administration Beth El has been granted a traffic signal at the Beth El Way entrance.
The signal will stop traffic along northbound Park Heights Avenue
to allow left turning traffic to enter and exit Beth El Congregation;
however, southbound traffic will not stop at the signal. The anticipated
share of the cost to the Congregation will be approximately
$31,000 which represents one third of the project’s total cost. Once
installed Beth El will be responsible for the utility costs attributable to
the traffic light. The signal should be operational, weather permitting,
by late September.
Because of the safety concerns for our members and visitors to our complex, the installation of a traffic light was a priority of the Congregation’s leadership.
